This mid-century Italian made brooch features two playful fish meeting face to face with an affectionate kiss. Hand crafted in 18k yellow gold and featuring exquisite basse-taille enamling, this brooch captures the joyful spirit of 1960s to 1970s Italian goldsmithing.
The piece also features two cabochon cut natural ruby "eyes" and believed to be unheated after examination. The piece is stamped "18K ITALY" on the back (tested and confirmed 18k), weighs an impressive 16.40 grams and measures approximately 2.25 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall.
