Padparadscha sapphires, often called “pads” for short, are known for their signature pink-orange color that resembles a lotus flower. They are among the rarest and most valuable types of sapphires in the world.
Usually pads are heat treated or beryllium treated to enhance their color, however this is a natural unheated pad, making it exceptionally rare.
The unique color of pads is often associated with love and passion, making this a popular choice for an engagement ring. The hardness of these gems are second only to diamond, which makes for an excellent gemstone for everyday wear.
This is a natural, unheated padparadscha sapphire in 18k white and yellow gold. The padparadscha sapphire is 3.01 cts. and is accompanied by AIGS certificate (GF13051700) indicating the gem is natural, unheated and falls within the padparadscha color range.
The padparadscha sapphire is set in a 18k yellow gold and white gold setting with natural diamonds estimated to be 0.78 cwt. G to H color and SI1 to SI2 clarity.
The ring is currently a size 6.5 and can be resized free of charge.
